The Akwakwaa Commnity Foundation is administered by a Board of Directors concerned with the education and health of the children at the orphanage and school. The Board is composed of seven members, with expertise in legal matters, Ghanaian customs, nonprofit administration, housing rehabilitation funded by nonprofits, U.S. government and private donations, marketing, engineering, video production, and financial analysis. Listed below are brief biographies of each Board Member and their current position.

Carol Beaver
Secretary
Co-Director of a K-12 private school. Director of a nonprofit serving women and children. Municipal government Community Development.
Zoe Foster
Youth Representative (Advisory)
Attends college and is an active volunteer. Has spent extensive time in Africa. Recently climbed Mount Whitney.
Carol Korade
Local government specialist, including various municipalities, public entities, and nonprofits. Multiple Africa trips.
Benjamin Ofori
Born and raised in Volta region, Ghana. Certificated in performing arts. Music and dance instructor. Performer.
Ruth Ormsby
Graduate of Stanford and Columbia University School of Social Work. Former therapist and county administrator specializing in children’s mental health for 38 years. Multiple Africa trips.
Karen De Robinson
Chief Financial Officer/Secretary
Born and raised Zimbabwe and Malawi. Small business owner. Sales management, marketing, and strategic planning skills.
Dick Rudloff
